Day 12: Lip Gloss

Doing a quick update during halftime of the Cats game.

I'm not a lipstick wearer, usually I'm not even a lip gloss wearer. What I am is a chapstick wearer, but this is a great alternative. I used to be one who just wore Vaseline on my lips because it just feels so good and still gives you a little shimmer. This lip gloss is good for chapped lips but also has a little color and it's sooo easy!

That's all you're gonna need. And the containers are only necessary if you want to give any away. If you just wanted to make some for yourself I'd just put it back in the vaseline jar. I ordered the little jars from Amazon and think they're just plum adorable. You can find them here: AVEYOU Beauty Boutique.

All you need to do is put your Vaseline in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments for 3 or 4 minutes or until liquefied.

It's very important to stir vigorously every 30 seconds, until becomes liquid. The bowl will be very hot so you'll need an oven mitt.

Let the Vaseline cool, not until solid but until almost room temperature before mixing in the Kool-Aid. Then stir, stir, stir. And there you have it: snazzy homemade lip gloss!

I put little M stickers on mine just to give them a personal touch. They are quite cute and I think I will be making my own lip gloss/chapstick from now on!

GO CATS!
