Happy spring! Ike and I went on a little walk/jog this morning and brought in spring the right way. As for the project.....
Okay, I'm guilty this is totally not a diy project. But what better way to spend the first day of spring than potting some flowers? I texted my mom last night and she said not to plant flowers until May but I didn't listen. This weather has been so beautiful I wanted to celebrate it a little so I bought me some flowers today at Lowe's. The man at the register asked who was the green-thumb, me or my husband. I responded "my mother is but she pressures me to try and be," which is true but I do love to look at flowers so I will give it a try.
This is still technically a "project" and surely there's something on pinterest somewhere about potting flowers.
Please do not ask the inevitable question that my mother asked, I do not know what kind they are. I'm sure they said when I bought them but I did not look, I bought them because I thought they were pretty. My theory is I can bring them in if/when it frosts again since they're just right out on the balcony. And surely they will brighten some one's day, our yard gets a lot of traffic so I hope someone enjoys them as much as me.
The yellow ones are my favorite...I think I'll make up a flower name for them, or I could take after Drew and call all flowers everywhere chrysanthemums.
Ike has been eating the potting soil, surprise surprise.... And I got to use my gloves and shovel!
Enjoy this beautiful day and plant some flowers of your own! And since we had Johnny yesterday, we'll have June today...or rather Reese Witherspoon as June (because I like her version better).
