Back to School

Am I a weirdo for being excited for back to school? The answer is yes. I have always loved buying school supplies and have always been guilty of trying to wear fall/winter clothes way too early in the fall (to football games especially) because I'm just too darn excited about jeans and long sleeve shirts (they're just so cozy.)

We had an exciting weekend with a festival downtown that included zydeco music, lots of vendors, great food and tons of townies. However, the highlight of my weekend was this:

Nothing gets me going quite like a new notebook or planner and I got BOTH! I was like a kid in a candy store at Target. A year off from school and school supplies was just too much for this girl. Drew even asked me "what are all of these extra little notebooks for?" I have a problem and the sooner he accepts it the easier his life will be. Now I just wish I had something to write in them. In a few short weeks, however, I hope to fill them up. :)

Hooray for August! Perhaps I was meant to be a teacher after all, here's hoping.
