Three weeks ago this past Friday I helped my mamaw from the couch to the bathroom and then to her bed. I had no way of knowing that would be the last time she would be up and about. She passed away this past Monday morning.

I drove home today in the rain. It hurts to the bone. My heart aches. My mom said the hardest part is that life just goes on. I agree.

I have a final at 10:00 in the morning and right now I couldn't even tell you my full name.

I don't yet have amazing words to say about her because it's too fresh. She was quite a woman and she took a large chunk of my heart with her. Thank you to those who have reached out to my family. We were definitely blessed. Please continue to send prayers and good thoughts our way in the coming weeks and months.
