Weekend Visit

This weekend my sister and her significant other came to visit!! And they brought these fun bottles o' sody pop. They were too cute to drink.

Saturday we ventured to Roanoke to go to Black Dog Salvage which is featured on HGTV. It was awesome but a bit overwhelming. I hadn't adequately prepared beforehand so I couldn't remember what items our humble abode needed.

Side note: That little orange hatted old man was precious. We talked about horses and he told me I needed a coat on.

I found a glider I loved but as per my usual, talked myself out of it. I didn't take a picture of it, it'd just be too painful.

Bathtub anyone??

I ended up with 2 apple crates to serve as an end table for our chair.

It was actually pretty nice and sunny when we got home so we played cornhole (Molly's man Daniel made them for us and they delivered them).

We all sucked, except for Daniel. They must be an extension of him because his two hands built them but none of the rest of us connected with them very well. By the end of summer, though, you better watch out!

We also had a fire.

Last night we went to our favorite place for dinner but beforehand we wanted to get a sister picture....soon I will do a blog post of all the pics Drew took trying to get one but for now you'll have to survive with only one.

Last night consisted of deep, ground breaking conversations followed promptly by singing Backstreet Boys at the top of our lungs in the cupcake boutique. That's how sisters roll. After a beautiful day/evening, we woke up to this today which is still going on:

So Molly and Daniel peeled out early and we went to Palm Sunday service. After which we came home and watched Les Mis. It's been a durn good weekend friends. Hope you all have had the same!

  1. So happy you had a good visit!! I am dying to go to Black Dog Salvage! I found it via the Internet when we planned a trip to meet Sarah in Roanoke last winter, but we ended up going to an estate sale, the Habitat restore and an antique mall. Sarah went the last time she was in Roanoke though. :) I love the HGTV show!! Love those crates too!! :) ~Gina
